The Reed kids’ experience with 4H is a classic example of the opportunities to explore, learn, and grow the club offers to its members. Amana, 15, Anlynn, 13, Harrison, 11, Isaac, 8, and Lucy, 6 joined the 4H program as Clover Kids at the age of 5 and continue to find new aspects of the club to keep them engaged.
The family first discovered 4H when Amana was five years old. Parents Lige and Dusty along with some of their friends became interested in finding something for their young children to do.
“We found out about Clover Kids and that was it. For the rest of the kids, that’s just what we did so when they were old enough we put them in 4H,” Dusty said.
