Reorganized
The Kearney County Board of Supervisors got its year started with its first meeting of 2013 on Thursday. The Supervisors held their annual reorganizational meeting first to select board appointments and committee appointments for all the entire board.
Richard Schwenka was re-appointed as the Chairman of the board with Richard McBride being renamed Vice Chairman.
The board also welcomed its two newest elected officials to the board in Larry Landstrom of Axtell who replaced the retiring Jean Rush who went on off the board December 31. Ross Bruning of Minden also took his seat at the supervisor table after replacing the retired Dave McCroden. Both Rush and McCroden have served the county for 20 years.
Prior to the meeting Kearney County Judge Robert Ide swore in Landstrom, Bruning and the reappointment of William Pittner as Supervisor.
