Right-Of-Entry Process Nearly Complete For NPPD Axtell To Kansas Transmission Line

With 90 percent of the right-of-entry agreements, surveying and soil testing activities complete, the Nebraska Public Power District’s Axtell to Kansas transmission line is making headway toward the projected fall 2011 construction start date.
The project is going well, commented Mark Miller, NPPD Communications Specialist.  “The Minden Field office right-of-way agents report that people in the area have been good to work with.  Right now, a third party, independent appraiser is finishing up the land appraisals and we are writing easements.”
According to Miller, around the first of the year, NPPD right-of-way agents will begin to contact property owners to present them with easement documents that will include the appraisal, land description, maps and proposed easement payment amount.
