School Board Tackles First of Year Business

The Minden Public Schools Board of Education elected board officers during their first regular meeting of the year on January 9.

As the only nomination for Board President, Rusty Rhynalds was elected to maintain the seat. Single nominations for Vice President and Secretary resulted in Justin Glanzer and Kevin Raun continuing in the positions respectively.

The board addressed more annual beginning of the year business by approving Scott Johnson as the District Treasurer, Perry Law Firm as the District Legal Counsel, Minden Exchange Bank and First Bank & Trust Company as official depositories of school funds, and The Minden Courier as district newspaper of record. The board also approved the current board policies and regulations.
