School Lunch Services Continue Into Summer
Area schools have kept students fed through the school year despite remote teaching initiated in March. With the school year ending, districts are looking to extend food service into the summer months.
Axtell Community School will continue to offer free breakfast and lunch through June 30 for any child in the district under the age of 18. A link to sign up for meals can be found in the Coronavirus section of the school website at www.axtellwildcats.org. Meals will be picked up outside of the school.
The Summer Lunch Program at Minden Public Schools will start June 1. Five days of lunches will be distributed on Mondays between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Meals can be picked up from either the High School or East Elementary.
