Second Half Rally Lifts Dusters Over Lady Whippets

The Class C-1 third-rated Minden Lady Whippets put their undefeated record on the line Friday when they took on the fifth-rated Class B Holdrege Dusters as the two old rivals met in Holdrege before a capacity crowd.
Holdrege used a big second half to hand the Whippets their first loss of the season in a hard-fought 54-51 decision. Minden drops to 14-1 on the season while Holdrege improved its record to 12-1.
Jamie Kissinger and Hallie Bauer led only five players in the scoring column. Kissinger scored a team-high 15 points while Bauer netted 14. Kenzie Miller and Brooke Kissinger each chipped in with eight points each.
Minden could not have asked for a better start to the game against the Dusters rolling to a 7-0 lead behind four points from Jamie Kissinger and a three-pointer by Kenzie Miller.
