St. Lucia Festival Held In Axtell

Members and guests gathered at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church of Axtell on Saturday, December 10, for the 33rd annual St. Lucia Celebration. Brooke Soderquist was chosen to wear the traditional white garment, red sash and crown of lights associated with St. Lucia and the festival.
Pastor David Evenson welcomed the guests and gave short devotion, including the history of St. Lucia’s festival. The program included musical performances from Morgan Miller, Carol Loschen, the Bethany Sunday School Children, Jan Schneider, Jane Blum, Max Stratman, Tim Beck, Linda Anderson, and Marvene Evenson.
