Despite heavy rains that delayed the project’s start, the Minden 2019 Street Project remains on schedule. Progress is steady and significant results will be evident in the coming weeks. Midlands will do its best to stick to its aggressive timeline, but the schedule doesn’t include delays caused by weather or other outside factors.
The project began with work on Campbell Street. At this time street lights, water main upgrades, and storm water upgrades are complete. Grading was recently finished and curb and gutter installation began on Monday. The concrete street is scheduled to be poured beginning the week of August 12.
Concrete work will continue on Campbell Street the following week with the final blocks of the street being poured as well as the intersections. The concrete will need to cure before the street is opened to traffic. Campbell Street is expected to be open on September 3.
