Strong Named MPS Activities Director

The new Minden Public Schools Activities Director was announced during a special meeting of the MPS Board of Education on March 29. Jason Strong will begin his duties on August 1, 2022.

Strong grew up in Eustis. He attended college at the University of Nebraska-Kearney where he earned his teaching degree in High School Social Sciences. From there he began his teaching career in Woodbine, Iowa.

“After UNK I wanted to see something different,” Strong explained. “I was there for nine years. I taught high school social studies and was the head football coach and served as head track coach and assistant track coach for some time.”
