Supervisors Discuss Townships

The Kearney County Board of Supervisors held its first meeting of the month on Aug. 4 in the Kearney County Courthouse with Supervisors Bob Swanson and Larry Landstrom absent.
The board met with Buffalo County Supervisor Sherry Morrow and fellow Buffalo County Supervisor Bill McCullen to discuss township government and how Buffalo County went about it.
Morrow said the issue was placed on the ballot two times with the first time by the people with resounding no and the second time it passed a few years later after a lot of education to the citizens about why and how this would take place.
