Representatives from several agencies attended the June 8 regular meeting of the Kearney County Board of Supervisors to submit budgets and request funding. Luke Poore, CEO and Gavin Blum, CFO of KCHS were first to present the budget approved by the KCHS Board of Trustees and submit a tax asking request.
Blum shared the budget noting significant projected growth in several service lines and updated the board on how CARES Act funding has been allocated. The KCHS budget includes an annual tax asking from the County of $400,000. Supervisor Dick Schwenka stated he would like to see the tax asking go down on good faith.
