Luke Poore and Gavin Blum from KCHS attended the November 16 meeting of the Kearney County Board of Supervisors to provide a quarterly update and COVID vaccine report.
Blum reported a very successful first quarter for the facility. A trend in increasing profitability is attributed to rededicated use of space and expansion of services at the facility.
Poore informed the board that the remodeled clinic space featuring more clinic and treatment rooms was opened in July. In addition to more space, the clinic is experiencing changes in staff. Shelby Liesemeyer has agreed to join the clinical staff at KCHS after her graduation in 2023 and there is a potential for a fifth physician to join the clinic staff as well. Poore told the board the growth at KCHS is great, but they have to stay ahead of it with both infrastructure and staff.
