The Kearney County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing for the 2019-20 fiscal year budget during the September 3 regular meeting. The hearing was closed with no comments coming from the public.
Following the hearing, a 1% restricted funds authority limit was approved. A resolution of adoptions and appropriations was adopted. The supervisors approved a resolution of cash transfer from the General Fund to the Road Fund in the amount of $1,014,894.
A special hearing to set the final tax request at a different amount than the prior year was opened. No public comments were made and the hearing was closed. After the hearing, the board approved a new resolution setting the property tax request at a different amount than the prior year request.
