Supervisors Select Motorgrader Bid

Weed Superintendent Joe Anderson spoke to the Kearney County Board of Supervisors during the February 8 meeting about the annual Kearney County Clean Up.

He reported the City of Minden has agreed to share the cost of the event once again. The event is tentatively scheduled for May 6-7. Anderson also informed the board the County was approved for funding to host a tire clean up which will be held September 16-17. The board approved the County’s participation in the annual county wide clean up.

Extension Educator Rhonda Herrick presented her annual report to the board. She informed the board one in two age eligible youths in the county are involved in 4H and highlighted the Animals Inside and Out program hosted by the Kearney/Franklin County Extension Office each year. Following her presentation, the board approved the reinstatement of Extension Board members Mandy Strolberg and Mark Lundeen for a second term.
