IT support was the hot topic during the January 28 meeting of the Kearney County Board of Supervisors. The board asked department heads about the tech support needs of their offices.
The general consensus was every department would benefit from having one person or company familiar with the County’s system that could be contacted for assistance with daily IT problems as well as cyber security. All parties agreed it would be best to limit remoting in to solve issues.
Funds for IT support are not available in the current computer budget but can be taken out of Inheritance. The supervisors will move forward with trying to secure IT support for the County that will fit all departments’ needs.
