The Kearney County Supervisors held their first meeting of the month on August 6 at the courthouse.
First on the agenda was Kearney County Emergency Manager Jeff England to discuss the department’s budget and personnel matters.
The supervisors had questions about his budget in regards to the grant money he has received for use and how that figures into his budget.
The supervisors kept on the budget theme of the meeting later when they discussed the Veteran’s Service Office and County Road Departments budget requests for 2013-14. The most discussion from those two were related to employees. The supervisors went into executive session to discuss personnel and then returned to the meeting.
The board then accepted the emergency manager, veteran service office and road department budgets.
