For the last 28 years, Jim Edgecombe’s steady hand has been on the wheel of the Minden Courier. This year, that ship will be handed over to Syndicate Publishing, based out of Gothenburg, Nebraska. While change can bring some uncertainty, our goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible, with no interruption in the quality news and sports coverage that you have counted on over the decades.
“I want to say how honored I am to have been able to bring quality local news and sports coverage to Minden, Kearney County and the surrounding area during our time as owners of The Courier,” Edgecombe said. “Everyone with whom my wife, Michelle, and I have come in contact will always hold special meanings. Minden has been a great place the past 28 years where we have developed a strong sense of community with and made lifelong relationships we will always cherish.”
“My family was blessed to be welcomed into the community way back in 1994 when we purchased The Minden Courier and we wish Syndicate Publishing the best moving forward. I have assured them that Kearney County will welcome them the same way you did us all these years ago,” Edgecombe stated.
