Three Qualify For Nationals At State FCCLA
Ten students from the Minden High School chapter of Family, Career, and Community Leader’s of America (FCCLA) traveled to Lincoln for the 2012 FCCLA State Leadership Conference.
FCCLA is a Non-profit organization that works with community service. It was formed in Chicago on June 11, 1945.
According to their official website, as of the 2011 National Leadership Conference, it had “nearly 200,000 members in nearly 7,000 chapters across all 50 states as well as in the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. The national headquarters is located in Reston, Virginia.”
Minden had three groups involved in competitive “Students Taking Action with Recognition” (STAR) competitions at the conference.
