Trinity Lutheran Church of Hildreth introduced their first ever Live Nativity earlier this month. Two more presentations are scheduled for the season on December 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. weather permitting. The church hopes their performance helps spread faith throughout the community.
“Our outreach committee was looking at ways to share the gospel with others and this idea came up,” Outreach Committee Chairperson Linda Fecht said.
Although contrived by the committee, the performance was made possible by participation from the congregation. A sign up sheet was posted in the church and people volunteered to portray the biblical figures. Rather than tying volunteers down for all three performances during the holiday season, day and time slots were put on the sign up sheets.
