The Kearney County Health Services Board of Trustees had one new piece of business during the June 26 meeting. A purchase order for a Sysmex Hematology Analyzer was presented for consideration.
The hematology machine currently used in the KCHS lab is eight years old and needs to be serviced with increased frequency. The purchase of a new machine has been built into the budget for 2020.
McKesson provided a quote for a Sysmex Hematology Analyzer that included a promotional discount. After negotiations, the final quote came in at $35,325 with an additional $2,000 electronic health record interface cost on top of the cost of the equipment. The machine will have the same features as the current equipment as well as an automated differential.
