The Kearney County Health Services Board of Trustees addressed the clinic renovation project during the November 27 meeting. Details about the bid packages received the previous week were discussed by conference call with their architect, Robert Junk.
Obvious discrepancies in several parts of the bids from Lytle Construction and Beckenhauer Construction were noted. After speaking with Beckenhauer Construction, new numbers were obtained to provide a more accurate comparison of the bids.
No clarifications and exclusions list was included in the original Beckenhauer bid, but was later obtained. Beckenhauer added a $100,000 contractor contingency to their bid as well. The new projections were closer to the bid from Lytle Construction at $2.137 million.
