Trustees Meet For December Meeting
The Kearney County Health Services Board of Trustees met on December 29. Two purchase proposals were presented to the board for consideration.
The ER defibrillator at KCHS is aging. When Kendra Brown, CNO contacted Stryker to ask about product warranty and support, she learned it will be discontinued on February 3, 2022. She received a proposal for a LIFEPAK 15 defibrillator for $22,625.37 to replace the aging and soon to be discontinued defibrillator currently used in ER. The board approved the purchase. Delivery will take 12-14 weeks. The defibrillator used in Cardiac Rehab will serve as a backup in case of delivery delay or failure of the current machine before delivery.
