Bethany Home had plenty of visitors June 11 as they celebrated the completion of the new Memory Care Unit and Assisted Living apartments with an open house. The event included brunch and guided tours of the newly finished wings.
Assisted Living apartments were built in the new south wing of the facility. The single rooms each feature a kitchenette, spacious bathroom, and comfortable living space. The ‘front porch’ design featured in the rest of the building was extended to the new wing so residents have additional space to decorate and enjoy outside their door.
Bethany Home strives to provide a home-like setting for residents and visitors. To help reach that goal, a communal great room was built in the south wing for Assisted Living residents to socialize with family and neighbors. Rather than trekking across the facility to use the dining area or fellowship hall, residents will be able to relax in the space resembling a large den or family room. It features comfortable furniture, natural light, a fire place, television, and lots of space to spread out and entertain.
