Voznyuk, Strizheus Plead No Contest To Three Felonies Each
Aleksandr Voznyuk, 22, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Petr Strizheus, 19, of Harrisburg, S.D., each pled no contest to three felony charges at hearings on Tuesday, July 24, in Kearney County District Court.
Voznyuk pled no contest to one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm, a Class 1-D felony with a maximum sentence of 50 years, and minimum required sentence of three years.
Additionally, he pled no contest to attempted first degree assault of a peace officer, a Class 2 felony, which carries a maximum sentence of 50 years and minimum of one. Specifically, Voznyuk was charged with “intent to cause serious bodily injury” to Nebraska State Patrolman Paul Hazard.
Finally, Voznyuk again pled no contest to misuse of a firearm to commit a felony, a Class 1-C felony, which carries a maximum of 50 years and a minimum sentence of five years.
