Wilcox-Hildreth was the sixth seed heading into girls’ Fort Kearny Conference Tournament play and was paired up with the three-seed Loomis. The Lady Wolves got by the Lady Falcons 46-41 at Elm Creek on February 3. Wil-Hil dropped to 6-13 but played Loomis much closer than a couple weeks earlier when the Wolves won by 41.
Loomis was ahead at halftime 28-15. The first quarter was close, 8-7 Wolves, but in the second period Loomis had a 20-8 advantage.
The FKC foes were even at 9-9 in third quarter scoring, keeping Loomis ahead 37-24, then the Falcons closed the gap down to five by outscoring the Wolves 17-9 in the fourth.
