Katie Mulligan from Two Rivers Public Health Department announced during the May 18 weekly community COVID-19 meeting that Kearney County had only one new patient over the weekend. Just under 60 new cases were confirmed in the TRPHD district.
New directed health measures allow salons, tattoo parlors, and the like to reopen. Safety guidelines must be followed by staff and consumers at these establishments. Restaurants are allowed to resume dine-in service at 50 percent capacity.
Mulligan announced TRPHD is working to launch a dashboard that will provide a visual of where we are in the area with the COVID-19 case curve. She explained the district hasn’t quite seen the peak yet, be we seem to have hit a plateau.
