Whippet Girls Golf Team Takes Third At GICC Invitational

The Minden girls golf team participated in the Grand Island Central Catholic golf invite on Thursday played at Indianhead Golf Course for the first time.
The Whippets put together the lowest round of the year to date shooting a 401 team score, placing Minden third behind the tournament champion Columbus Scotus and runner-up GICC.
Individually, Minden placed three girls in the top 15 spots. Junior Jessica Rehtus placed the Whippets by shooting a personal best score of 92, good for fifth place overall. Rehtus improved some 15 strokes from her score at McCook and played very solid golf throughout the day.
