Whippet Golfers Are Runner-Up At Minden Invite

The Minden Country Club along with the Minden girls golf team played host to the 2012 Minden Invitational Golf Tournament. The Whippet five played one of the best rounds of the year to finish second overall in the team race. Grand Island Central Catholic took the team title shooting 372 for the day. Minden was fifteen strokes back carding a 387 team score, followed by Hastings High with a 406.
Minden medaled four individuals for the second time this year. Sophomore Jessica Rehtus shot a career-best 93 to finish in third place overall. Ashton Boldt shot a 95 and placed fourth in the 35-player field while Allie Geist finished in fifth place with a 96 for the tournament.
