Whippet Wrestlers Place Fifth At Holdrege Invite

The Minden Whippets boys wrestling team took to the mats in Holdrege on Dec. 11 to compete in the strong Holdrege Invitational.

The Whippets placed fifth overall with 153.5 points. Broken Bow won the team title with 218.5 and Lincoln Southwest with 218.5 and Columbus Lakeview was third with 185.

Minden had nine medalists in the top six places led by Cade Harsin second at 113 pounds and third place to Koltdyn Heath at 126, Robert Nelson 120, Alex Brais 138 and Evan Smith 152. Fourth placers were Orrin Kuehn at 132 and Daulton Kuehn at 220; fifth place to Braxton Janda at 195 and sixth to Logan Choquette at 106.
