Whippets Defeat Bluejays In Five

The Minden Whippet volleyball team closed out their 2012 regular season on Thursday in grand style.
The Lady Whippets hosted the Class B Seward Bluejays at C.L. Jones Gymnasium before heading into subdistrict action.
The Whippets and Bluejays pushed each other to the max five sets with Minden rallying from down two sets to zero to win by scores 18-25, 17-25, 25-16, 25-23 and 15-7.
Stepping on the C.L. Jones floor for the final time were seniors Olivia Steen, Alaina Boudreau, Nicole Stewart, Rachel Rutt, Sarah Ryan and Sydney Stadler.
