Whippets Drop Two Games To Cozad, Adams Central

The Minden Whippet softball team had two difficult varsity games on its schedule Thursday at Augie Nelson Field.
The Whippets face perennial power, the Cozad Haymakers and the up-and-coming Adams Central Patriots.
Minden faced Cozad to open the Minden triangular. The Haymakers didn’t waste any time getting on the scoreboard in the first inning of Whippet starter Karlie Nielsen.
Cozad plated eight runs in the opening inning while Minden went one, two, three in its half of the inning.
