Whippets Edged By St. Paul, 9-8

The Minden Whippet softball team was nipped on the road on Aug. 23 when they traveled to St. Paul to take on the Wildcats.
Minden lost a narrow 9-8 decision to drop to 0-2 on the season.
Callie Pinkham pitched a complete game for the Whippets but was saddled with the loss.
St. Paul took an early 1-0 lead as they were able to score on two hits.
In the second, Minden was able to get on the board with its own run. Meghan Antillon singled and scored on a double by Zoey Ellis to tie the game at 1-1.
