Whippets Fourth At Broken Bow Invitational

The Minden Whippet varsity golf team traveled to Broken Bow on May 1 to compete in the eight-team Broken Bow Invitational held at the Broken Bow Country Club.
The Whippets finished fourth in the team standings with a team total of 334. Broken Bow won its own invite title with a score of 299 followed by Holdrege at 322 and Gothenburg with a 331.
“The guys are becoming more consistent,” stated Minden head coach Eric Christensen. “They did a great job today and we shot our season low, but the kids feel like they left plenty of shots out there. It was great to see Trevor play well. He shot 79 and placed eighth. Derek struggled with putting but still shot 80 and placed 13th. Carson was consistent with a pair of 42s. We are were we want to be going into conference and districts.”
