Whippets Get Road Win Over Panthers

Minden returned from Fillmore Central (Geneva) on September 20 with a 14-0 win and a 3-1 record. The Whippets play at Kearney Catholic on September 27. 

Late in the opening period, Minden got the game’s first points when at 0:26 Ryan Johnson gathered in a 15-yard scoring toss from Braden Bates. Dependable Irvin Hernandez added the PAT kick to put the Whippets in front 7-0.

Midway through the second quarter, Eddie Gonzalez ran into the end zone from 21 yards out and Hernandez again was good on the conversion. At 7:04 Minden led 14-0.
