The Minden Lady Whippets were able to shake off a slow start in the their post holiday return to the court hosting the Adams Central Patriots in C.L. Jones Gymnasium on Jan. 6 to post their tenth victory of the season, holding on for the 56-34 win.
Minden had a season-best four players in double figures led by Emily Malcom and Taylor Kissinger with 15 points each followed by Rebecca Stewart with 12 and Josie Madsen chipping in with 10 points.
The Class C-1 second-rated Minden squad had a slower than usual first period, scoring only seven points and looked shaky on offense while Adams Central looked good out of the gates building a four point edge, 11-7, over the Whippets.
