Wickham Is New Axtell Superintendent

Steve Wickham may only have only been at Axtell’s position of school superintendent since July 1st of this year, but he is no stranger to the area.
He was with the Kearney Public School system for 31 years – 17 years as assistant principal and 5 years as principal after teaching for nine years previously.
Even though his hometown is  Alliance, where his family were railroaders, he spent considerable time officiating football and basketball for the Fort Kearny Conference.
