Wilcox-Hildreth rebounded in resounding fashion from the previous week’s loss by downing McPherson County 68-27 to move to 5-1 on the season. The Falcons next play on October 16 travelling to Wauneta-Palisade.
The first quarter of this high-scoring game was relatively quiet. The only points in the period came on a Triston Farley 13-yard run. Jason Campbell’s two-point conversion gave W-H an 8-0 advantage through one stanza.
Both teams’ offenses produced three second quarter touchdowns. The Falcons’ scores came from an 18-yard run by Farley and four and 54-yard runs by AJ Jenkins. One successful conversion by Campbell gave W-H 20 points in the quarter and put the score at 28-21 in W-H’s favor at halftime.
