Wilcox-Hildreth Ends Year With Road Loss In D2-6 Playoffs, 58-28

The second half of the season didn’t go as well as the first part for Wilcox-Hildreth, but the Falcons did enough to qualify for the six-man playoffs. W-H, as the 14th seed, was on the road to the southeast corner of the Nebraska Panhandle to take on the third-seeded Creek Valley Storm at Chappell on November 1. Creek Valley ended the Falcons season at 4 wins and 5 losses with a 58-28 win over W-H. It was the Storm’s first ever playoff victory.

Creek Valley went on top 15-0 after one period, scoring on a 30-yard run, a 26-yard pass, a run conversion and a kick conversion.

In the second quarter, TD runs of 20 yards and one yard plus a PAT kick put the Storm up 29-0. Quarterback Gavin Sheen then got W-H’s initial points with a seven-yard run. Creek Valley added a safety and a 20-yard TD pass before to go to intermission leading 37-6
