Wine, Wreaths & Whimsy Is Nov. 4

The Kearney County Health Services Auxiliary presents its ninth annual Wine, Wreaths and Whimsy which will be held on Sunday, November 4 at the Kearney County Fairgrounds. The appetizer buffet will begin at 4 p.m. followed by the auction starting at 5 p.m. with Col. Rusty Rhynalds as the auctioneer.
This year’s theme is “Growing Healthy Building Strong” and the money raised from the benefit auction will help subsidize the cost of new Outpatient Services Equipment.
KCHS is fortunate to have a variety of specialty clinics from leading urban hospitals available to our patrons. These professionals provide a monthly, sometimes bi-monthly clinic, at the hospital. Currently these providers don’t have a dedicated space for them to exam their patients making it difficult to provide continuity of care in a pleasant and confidential environment. Phase 2, which began the first of October, will remedy this situation by renovating the old inpatient rooms to accommodate four outpatient exam rooms and three offices for the visiting specialists. It will also provide for more storage room for nursing, a new pharmacy area, break rooms and a public restroom. Phase 2 completion is set for the fall of 2013.
